What has always amazed me about this show is that just when you think things can’t get any more horrific for the Winchesters, just when you think the writers can’t possibly have any new ideas, you get thrown something that lets you know that there is no end to what can be done…and that the writers somehow have the ability to do all of this without jumping the “shark tank”. I know some fans were skeptical about the show after season five. I feel those fans didn’t give season six the fair chance it deserved…but season six is over now, and season seven has come on stronger, bigger and badder than we have seen in a long time! In my own humble opinion, the show “feels” more like the first three seasons…the show I originally fell in love with. Jensen Ackles recently sat down and talked with TVGuide about Supernatural’s 7th season. Here’s a preview: To the delight of Supernatural’s fans, the CW horror show — TV Guide Magazine’s first Fan Favorite cover last year — is returning to its seventh season on Friday, September 23. “This year,” says executive producer Sera Gamble, “we were really inspired by one of our touchstone movies when we think about Dean [Jensen Ackles] and Sam [Jared Padalecki] and their relationship — Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. We wanted to pit them against a force that’s much greater than them with great resources and take away the tools that Sam and Dean are used to having. They feel outmatched and cornered. When I began this journey to Vancouver, never did I expect to come home with this kind of contentment and satisfaction on how well things went. I must admit that travelling so far away from home to meet up with people you don`t know can be a little scary. But I know I`m walking away from all of this with friends for life as well as memories that will remain with me for the rest of my life. My journey to Vancouver started on August 23. I left work at 3pm and began the 3 hour trek to Bangor, Maine to take my first flight towards the Pacific Coast. This wasn’t my first adventure to the world of conventions. Back in March I went to Atlanta, Georiga to attend a Vampire Diaries convention put on by EyeCon conventions. I promised myself not to let this review turn into a bashing of EyeCon but I have to advise those considering their conventions to meet their favourite stars of any series to think twice before doing it. And then, it was THE DAY! The whole convention was awesome, but I must admit that the final reason I chose VanCon versus BostonCon or NJCon, which are in DRIVING DISTANCE from me, was because I had to meet Jensen Ackles. Seeing the locations and getting to watch filming was the icing on red velvet cake! They are definitely things you can’t do at any other Con. They were so wonderful to experience! But in the end, it came down to one man for me. I had to meet Jensen. So THIS was the day for me. And such a great day it was! My roommates had the Gold J and J Breakfast to go to—which actually turns out to be the only thing that makes me think that maybe I might want to check out a convention Gold style at some point. I went downstairs and got a bagel and coffee from the wannabe Starbucks in the downstairs area of the lobby. I then went up and sat in the lobby for a few minutes.
