At Comic-Con 2010, Supernatural’s  Eric Kripke  talked about the theme for Season 6 and Jensen Ackles confirmed  he’ll be battling monsters next season, particularly the blood-sucking kind. Comic-Con 2010 is in the books, and this year’s event was another celebration of all things geeky — and many that are not. The CW’s Supernatural will be going anime in January 2011 to be released in Japan on DVD and Blu-Ray. Cinema Today is reporting that highly acclaimed Japanese anime studio Madhouse is producing a 22 episode season of Supernatural that will cover the first two seasons of the cult CW demon-hunting favourite starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. According to their website, this would be the first overseas drama to ever be developed by a Japanese animation studio. ‘Supernatural the Animation’ will not only remake episodes of its live-action source, but will also contain original stories never seen before. The new original episodes will focus on the boys’ young lives and the adventures of secondary characters. It’s coming to Japan in DVD and Blu-ray formats on January 11, 2011. “After several seasons of horrific foreplay, here comes the Apocalypse, the ultimate showdown between good and evil.”  Begins the Thursday Highlights section of next week’s TV Guide. One page, including a picture of Dean and a column about the finale, is dedicated to the season finale for Supernatural. The column provides a quote from Sera Gamble, who indicates that “Things don’t look so good for our guys…[the Winchesters] are trying to rally for what feels like an impossible fight and, as is so often the case on our show, if our guys do win, it would come at a terrible personal cost…” The column indicates that another “beloved character” will die, and that the “Impala is set to play its own important part in the world’s fate.”  Gamble hinted about what we have in store next year, also.  “We’ll go intimate and personal and, now that we’ve buttoned up the big destiny-versus-free will debat More After The Cut...

Spoiler Alert!   Take a sneak peek at the official CW promo photos and synopsis for Supernaturals’ Season Finale, Episode 5.22, called Swan Song. *SOB*  This is it, Supernatural fans.  The season 5 finale will be airing on May 13 and the CW has released promo photos and a synopsis for the episode.  Are they spoilery?  In a way.  So proceed at your own risk. So it looks like the boys will be meeting Lucifer face-to-face again.  But what I really want to know is, what is Dean doing rocking the hand mojo?  Does he get demon or angel powers?  And which “beloved character” is killed?  Because this show has systematically managed to kill off the majority of recurring characters.  Since Padalecki and Ackles are both contracted for next season, I’m thinking either Cas or Bobby bites the dust.  Both of those possibilities distress me greatly. At least Kripke wrote the teleplay and we’ll be treated to another “Then” with “Car More After The Cut...

SAM AND DEAN FACE OFF AGAINST THE HORSEMEN The demon Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) he can help them find the remaining Horsemen rings so they can trap Lucifer.  The brothers are doubtful until Crowley leads them to Brady (guest star Eric Johnson), the Handler for Pestilence (guest star Matt Frewer) and Death.
